Cape Diem Lodge felt like a welcoming retreat right in the heart of Cape Town. Arriving late, the night porter offered a warm welcome drink and helped us settle in. My room, the Standard Queen Room, combined chic modern decor with charming Victorian touches, like high ceilings and wooden floors. Breakfast stood out with its variety. I particularly enjoyed the eggs benedict and fresh pastries. The pool area was beautifully landscaped and perfect for relaxing. Only downside? The area could use a few more sun loungers by the pool for guests to unwind.

What you should know
Considerable breakfast options and top-notch staff made my stay delightful. The location offers a tranquil environment, yet it's conveniently close to bars and the waterfront, ensuring the best of both worlds.
While the ambiance is cozy, some rooms struggled with light blocking due to inadequate window coverings, which can disrupt sleep at night.
